Vtg MCM Murano Glass 1960's Tension Pole Light/Lamp, Retro Modernist, WOW! Magnificent mid century murano glass tension pole circa 1960s. The light is breathtaking to say the least.

This tension pole is standing on our 8' ceiling but is more for a 7' ceiling which was a standard ceiling hieght in the 50s -60s. It works on the 8' ceiling but the spring compresion is on the lighter side, you would want to place a creative spacer to place it on for more compression if you so desired. The globes are a very modernist retro murano glass.

They fade from a white milk glass to transparent and a copper/carmel translucent at the tops. There is a geometric shape molded into the tops of the shades. An amazing display of mid century design at its best.

Condition is nice vintage, there is patina and ware the gold center pole that holds the lights. The black portion of the light is very nice yet but has some scrapes and scratches etc.

Chrome portions are in great condition. This is an old light, it has patina and imperfections but beautifull overall for age. The light operates in a 1-2-3 light switching operation. We had the sockets replaced to ensure safety and proper operation.

The Murano glass globes measure approximately. 5 3/4" in Diameter x 5 3/4" in height. One of the most beautiful lights i have ever seen without a doubt, I could never describe in words the uniqeness and beauty of this piece so I'll let the photos take it from here.
