Vtg ART DECO Italian VENETIAN MURANO Art Glass Beaded Necklace Foil back beads

This Stunning Art Deco Murano art glass beaded necklace dates to circa 1930's or earlier. It is made of three different type of beads and has a gorgeous large jeweled clasp. The larger beads are an exceptional quality hand blown plum color glass with pink foil inlay in the middle, these are graduated from 15 mm to 25 mm long and have ornate pierced brass settings on each side. The smaller beads are 8 mm in diameter deep Cherry-red faceted glass.

The spacers are tiny 2 mm in diameter golden-yellow glass beads. Dimensions: The necklace measures 17" long (the shorter strand including clasp) x 2" at its widest point (43.2 cm x 5.2 cm). The largest strand is 19 long (48.2 cm). Condition: Very Good vintage, as found. There was originally 5 strand on this necklace, but because of very heavy weight of the glass, it was modified to 3 strand necklace a long time ago.

Total weight of the 3 strand necklace is 161.2 grams. The large beads are in Excellent condition, no damage. The faceted beads have wear (small nicks), sells as is.
