Vintage Murano Glass Barbini 1950s Italy 24K Gold Compote Christmas Red Goblet
STUNNING vintage hand blown, hand decorated, Italian Murano Glass by master BARBINI in the 1950s. 24K Gold & Christmas Red Glass COMPOTE or SHERBET or GOBLET from a wealthy Italian estate in Massachusetts. 24 Karat gold and hand painted ceramic floral encrustations like capodimonte, with bright and matte gold decorations in painted and raised patterns.
This is top of the line, specialty Murano glass. The level of artistry in the decoration is superior. Hand blown by a master with smoothed pontil on base. 4 1/4" tall, 4" in diameter. This piece looks like it was NEVER USED, but only displayed in a cabinet.
The decoration required multiple trips into the fire, to hand blow the glass, apply the gilding, and apply the ceramic floral decorations. The Barbinis were masters at this glass artistry. Completely hand made and hand decorated.
No chips, cracks, damage or repairs. No signs of wear inside or out. Will be professionally packed and double boxed to ensure safe arrival.
