Vintage Murano Glass 24k Gold infused Amber Love Birds Candlesticks
Just a gorgeous example of the exquisite glass work done by Murano. Candlesticks date back prior to 1950's slight imperfections (not pictured) hard to capture with camera includes a slight amount of gold missing from the right wing of one bird and tiny tiny bubbles on deep inspection on clear glass can be visible, all indications of an early Murano work of art. FWIW, not seen in photos but both the wings, tail, and beak areas of the birds are also filled with 24k gold flakes... Again for what it's worth. My parents were art and antique dealers and these candle sticks stood proudly on our dining room table for so many years of my youth, Though the paperwork is long gone, I remember my mother showing me letters over a five year period each and every year from the Smithsonian asking her to donate these candle sticks to them. She wouldn't part with them.
That's all I know. But rest assure they are truly magnificent.
