VINTAGE ITALIAN MURANO QUADRUPLE LAYER CASED SOMMERSO GEODE BOWL MID CENTURY. STUNNING MID CENTURY MODERN ITALIAN MURANO GEODE ART GLASS BOWL! Presenting a fabulous vintage Italian Murano quadruple layer sommerso cased art glass Geode bowl. This exquisite piece has a beautifully rounded, sleek clean lined form with a thick top rim perfectly flaunting the. A layer of rich cobalt blue green spectacularly colours the interior of the bowl. This is encased within an opaque white milk glass which spectacularly intensifies the richness and vibrancy of the inner blue colour. A halo of transparent golden amber forms the outer layer, perfectly complimenting the vibrant opaque blue.
The three coloured layers are encased within a layer of sparkling clear glass forming the fourth layer of this spectacular vintage Murano geode bowl. The thick top rim has been beautifully tooled to form four indentations to create a clover leaf shape which perfectly flaunts the layers of suspended colour. This striking piece has been expertly hand crafted and very well finished by a master Italian glass artist circa 1950s. This piece has a polished flat ground base, a sure sign of a quality handcrafted vintage piece. There are sufficient surface scratches to the base to authenticate this is a genuinely vintage example.
