VINTAGE ITALIAN MURANO GREEN & CITRINE ART GLASS GEODE BOWL MID CENTURY. EXQUISITE MID CENTURY ITALIAN MURANO GLASS. Presenting an exceptional vintage Murano art glass geode bowl, expertly hand crafted by a master Italian glass artist circa 1950s. This sleek, curved bowl has been spectacularly coloured with a vibrant layer of rich green and citrine encased within.
A series of impressed oval shapes form bulbous lenses within the base, spectacularly radiating light thoughout the form. The varying thicknesses of glass create spectacular optic effects as the magnify and distort the light to differing degrees. The striking green and citrine colours radiate with an electric intensity as they reflect off the sleek curves, thick geode rim and impressed pattern.
The colours reflect and combine to create an exquisite range of radiant green tones. This stunning piece looks amazing with light passing through the form, illuminating the rich colours and casting radiant reflections.
This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is the tiniest rough spot to the edge of the ground base, which appears to be in the manufacture but is mentioned for complete accuracy. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly. There are sufficient light surface scratches to the quality ground base to indicate this is an authentically vintage example.This fabulous Murano piece stands approx 65mms tall, measures 160mms in length and 165mms in width. This fine example would make a superb addition to any vintage Italian Murano art glass collection!
