Vintage Ceiling Light Murano Italian Red Spun Glass Pendant & Fittings 2
This is a Vintage 1980s Italian Murano Glass Ceiling Light. This ceiling light Pendant has a heavy and beautiful Glass Lampshade. The shade is made from three layers of glass, white, clear and red. The shade is blown and spun and has a pattern that is tooled into the glass during spinning. Both the decoration and the thickness of the glass provide a very striking lighting effect.
This light is also striking when unlit. The light is complete with new brass fittings as the originals were pass safe use. Wiring is modern and the light is earthed with a single earthed BC Bayonet Bulb holder fitted that has a built in brass cord grip, the light is also supplied with a simple pressed brass ceiling rose and cord grip - The light works well. The light is offered with a long length of wiring, the drop can be easily adjusted by adjusting the ceiling rose cord grip.
Please see my images for the best description. Max Hanging drop is 140 Cm. The shade is 16 Cm Diameter x 17.5 Cm pendant height to top of cord grip Condition is very good for its age.... The shade is free of chips or damage and has only minor marks from age and use.
The shade has a few small manufacturing marks and the odd bubble as well as some original polishing marks which do not notice in use. Wiring is modern good and earthed and the light works well.
