Vintage Alfredo BARBINI MURANO Purple and Aventurine Glass Bird of Paradise
Beautiful example of Alfredo Barbini's highly coveted glass birds for Weil Ceramics & Glass... This beauty's body and tail are made of Amethyst/Purple glass with sparkling gold aventurine gracing the face and stands. The original label on this piece is long gone, but produced by Barbini for Weil Ceramic and Glass in the 1960s, this magnificent design is well documented and photos of the same design with the Barbini label are available on the web. DIMENSIONS Approx 16" tall x 7" wide.
