Vintage 50s Flavio Poli Sommerso Murano Glass Italy Vase Hole Inside Mid Century

Vintage, Mid Century Modern 1950's period Italian Murano Vase by Flavio Poli in the teardrop style with donut hole inside the smoke color encased glass. The vase goes from gray / smoke, to clear in a classic hollow centered form. It has a flattened shape with a donut hole inside that shows through the glass. The vase is large, thick and heavy and it measures 9 3/4" high X 5 1/4" wide at its widest area X 2 1/2 thick or deep. Condition is good vintage without any cracks, chips or repairs.

It does have however, a lot of scratches on its base, proof of its age and authenticity for being displayed and moved around on a shelf or table. There are also a few minor scratches on the exterior of the vase on both wide sides that can be seen if one looks very carefully.

We could not capture these in the pictures, but one can easily see the scratches on the base in our pictures. Very beautiful and rare vintage vase.
