Vintage 1960's Murano Glass End of Day Wear Fish Red, White, Blue, Medium Torpedo. This large, free standing retro glass fish is the epitome of kitsch! The fish is of white opaque glass laced predominantly with red with touches of blue and green swirled through the entirety of the body. The fish has clear glass fins and tail finished with crimped detail. The fish is in the traditional "torpedo" shape with open mouth.

A charming and unusually large example of his type. This type of glassware was typically produced in Murano Italy using the scraps of coloured glass left in the kilns after a days work.

It takes on beautiful jewel like luminescence under light. The fish measures 20 inches (51 cm) long by 5 inches (13cm) tall. The piece weighs 1.039kg.
