Vintage 10 Murano Mandruzzato Blue/Yellow Sommerso Faceted Glass Vase

Here is a stunning Mid Century Modern Sommerso vase with a Faceted block form. This is an iconic design by Mandruzzato and exhibits the excellent craftsmanship associated with this family of glass makers.

The vase has a rich blue interior that is submerged in a misty yellow, cased in a crystal clear faceted form with crisp angles. Under ultraviolet light it has a manganese and cadmium glow, making it an unusual piece to add to your collection. As is common with their earlier pieces, this vase is not signed and the label was removed. The vase measures 10" tall, 3-1/4" at its widest, and is in excellent condition, without any chips, cracks, or repairs. There are a couple of shallow surface scratches, but they are only visible upon very close inspection and do not diminish from the beauty of this piece.
