Large Pair Vintage Murano Art Glass Lamps Hollywood Regency Pink Cased Quilted
Impressive Pair of Vintage Hollywood Regency Lamps with Pink Murano Glass Bodies. This pair of lamps was recently acquired from an estate in Upstate NY. These lamps each have metal bases formed as triangles with concave sides, Atop the bases are short obelisks of the same shape with paneled sides and acanthus accented lion claw feet. Atop the obelisk is a fluted, hour glass shaped spacer and 2 bright disc spacers leading to the Glass body. The glass body is teardrop shaped and crafted of a cased or multilayered glass with a diamond quilted white interior over-layed with a transparent pink. Above the glass body is another bright disc spacer and an acanthus decorated knob spacer leading to the socket. Around and above the socket is the shade harp. The metal bases and connecting parts are finished in an aged brushed Gilt Bronze color.
The lamps are impressively large with the bases being 7 1/2" wide in each direction and the overall lamp standing 22 1/2 to the base of the socket and 34" to the top of the harp. The glass body alone measures 10" high and approximately 6 1/2" in diameter at its widest end.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. No scratching to the body. Electrical components appear to be original and are operational. Ther eis light and expected wear to the finish of the metal components as noted in photos.
