This glass bowl is a Murano glass piece, created using the sommerso technique. Similar bowls with a green and yellow/amber color scheme have been attributed to several prominent Italian glassmakers. Gino Cenedese: The bowl is most commonly attributed to the Vetreria Gino Cenedese factory, circa the 1960s.
These pieces are known for their heavy sommerso glass with vibrant layered colors. Seguso Vetri d'Arte: Other similar unsigned bowls have also been attributed to Seguso Vetri d'Arte, another factory specializing in the sommerso technique. Flavio Poli: The sommerso technique was championed by artist Flavio Poli during the 1950s and 1960s, and some green and orange/amber pieces are attributed to him, often for Alessandro Mandruzzato.
