Early 20th Century Venetian Pulegoso Glass vase with gilded glass applications. Seldom seen purple iridescent finish. The base features a distinct pontil mark and upon close inspection faint lettering can be observed which might be part of a manufacturing stamp. A close up picture is posted for better understanding.
Height 8", width measured across the widest part of the handles 7". Diameter 3.5" at applied rope shape base, 2.5" opening. The glass is in excellent condition, without signs of damage, repair or cloudiness and the fumed finish still exudes a beautiful glow. The only irregularity I can detect is line in proximity of one of the handles, which might be an annealing flaw. It does not penetrate the glass or disturb the display and it is mentioned for accuracy only.
