3ft Vintage Amethyst Purple Cased Art Glass Lamp Light Lite Murano Italy Italian
This tall majestic art glass gem has a contemporary modern design. The stunning art glass has a pearl white interior which has been encased within a layer of transparent amethyst purple glass which reflects the light beautifully. This luscious color combination has created a luminescent gem which you can see by the pictures seems to glow from within. This splendid lamp is exquisite in person and unfortunately the pictures fail to capture true beauty of the piece. The vintage antique white metal hardware is original to the piece. The luminous art glass magically draws you in with this captivating combination which makes a wonderful lite. The elegant lamp has all original parts except for the shade harp which was replaced with matching new old stock since the harp that was originally found with the light was too damaged to be salvaged. As you can see the amethyst lamp looks gorgeous and the shade that is shown as a representation of what it might look like - it's not included in this sale. The cat is a full grown 12 lb adult that's fascinated by the light as well.
The lite measures 41" tall to the top of the harp by 7 1/2" wide/square {104 cmt x 19 cmw/sq} and the art glass has no chips or cracks. The base has one small nick on one corner and the corners are a bit rounded from wear to the soft marble. There's a naturally caused small slim depression in one side of the top beveled area of the marble caused by a spot of grey inclusion. The white metal hardware has a little paint loss. The plug, cord, electrical wiring are original and in working order.
This could be used as a floor lamp as it's tall enough to sit by your reading chair and to provide illumination at the 3ft level.
