Venini-Style Pair of'Quilt' Amber Glass Wall Lamps 1970s Vintage Murano
Pair'Quilt'-Style Wall Lamps After Toni Zuccheri, c. A pair of vintage glass wall lamps, or wall sconces, closely modelled after Toni Zuccheri's'Quilt' series for Venini in the late 1960s. The maker of these lamps is unknown. The water-textured glass shades have been hand-cast, with a clear glass ground and a stripe of smoked-amber across the top. The shade has then been'slumped' (gently melted) over a mould to allow space for the bulb.
The shades are mounted on the white-lacquered backplate with two bronze knurled nuts. Each lamp takes an E27 Edison-screw bulb.
Glass, bronze & lacquered metal. Some very light wear to lacquered metal, but hidden by glass shade.
