This exquisite freestanding piece has been expertly hand crafted in to the tall, sleek form of a rooster. The body of the bird is spectacularly coloured with a rich, sparkling layer of gold suspended sommerso style within the clear glass form. The glass has been expertly tooled and stretched to form the roosters tail feathers, beak and sleek, pointed wings. Applied vibrant red glass forms the roosters comb and wattles, with rich black glass creating the eyes.
This fabulous piece has been beautifully designed with stylish curves and elegant sleek lines forming the wonderfully stylised figure. The classic colour combination is most appealing. This piece looks amazing with light intensifying the rich red details and glistening off the glittering gold body. The elegant bird stands proudly atop a stable, clear glass flower-shaped base. This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly. This impressive piece stands approx 195mms tall and measures 75mms in width.The original green and gold foil label reading "genuine venetian glass made in Murano Italy" remains in place to the base. While there is some wear to the label, it beautifully authenticates this is a genuine vintage example of Murano glass.
