This exquisite Murano art glass vase has been masterfully tooled into a modernist basket shaped form with the sleekly curved handle creating bold circular openings to opposing sides and wonderfully elegant curves. This exquisite example has been spectacularly coloured with a layer of vibrant electric blue within the base, blending smoothly to a rich cranberry pink at the top. The encased colours blend and combine to create a stunning range of radiant tones, including striking purple and deep blue tones.
A radiant layer of aqua blue forms a halo of colour suspended sommerso style around the encased colour within the solid clear glass base. Two thick lobes of applied clear glass radiate around the sides of the vessel, each lobe having been expertly tooled to create a sleek, flowing leaf shape which adds a fabulous sense of movement to the perfectly balanced form. This piece looks sensational with light illuminating the vibrantly coloured glass, electrifying the colours within and casting radiant reflections. The colours glow with a magical intensity as they reflect off the sleek curves and thick lobes of glass.
